She is part of the 35-member group chosen from across the globe to take part in the sixth edition.
As part of the partnership, Chinmayi will be paired with two mentors holding senior positions with American Express, who will share their experiences and discuss future leadership opportunities with her.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Wednesday, Chinmayi said she had received the nomination for her role as an entrepreneur of Blue Elephant, a language services company which offers services indocument translation, proof reading and interpretation for several languages.
“This has nothing to do with my career as a musician,” she said, adding that she received a nomination by the US Embassy after receiving the Woman Entrepreneur of Excellence Award by the SAARC Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs Council.
Only 35 representatives from across the world were chosen for this mentorship programme in which every one of them would get to be mentored during the internship period by one of the Fortune’s Most Powerful Woman Leaders, said Anand Krishna, Information Officer, Public Affairs Section of the American Consulate.
Other Indians to be participating in the programme include an entrepreneur each from New Delhi and Mumbai. The programme, which is in its sixth year, will begin with an orientation in Washington DC after which the one-on-one knowledge sharing sessions with top business leaders will be held in different US cities.
